Professional Engineering Associates staff has a long history of successfully designing both large and small residential projects. Our residential projects range in size from 3,000 sq.ft. to 18,000 sq.ft. with some of the larger projects approaching construction costs of $10 million. Our staff is well versed in residential design utilizing a variety of structural elements including wood, heavy timber, manufactured wood, structural steel, light gauge steel, masonry and concrete to achieve the architectural and structural requirements of the project. Due to our location in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, many of our residential projects are located on extreme sites which require experienced attention to the structural design of the foundations to achieve stability for the home.
Our residential services vary depending upon our clients. We often work with seasoned contractors who have extensive experience building complex residences. These types of clients often simply need foundation assistance and structural details for specific complex conditions. Other clients require full construction drawings for use by their selected contractor.
