Professional Engineering Associates (PEA) was founded as a civil and structural engineering consulting firm in 1978 by Clyde F. Boland and Richard H. Kapp. Since that time, PEA has developed an impressive resume of projects, but more importantly repeat clients.

Traditionally, PEA has had more of a concentration in industrial and manufacturing market segments. These types of projects would typically include manufacturing facilities and chemical process plants. However in recent years PEA has seen a substantial growth in the more "architectural" sectors including higher education, healthcare, and even residential.
